JR's Invited to National Team Camps
Sportsgate: HOCKEY: July 29, 2019: Two members of the 2019-20 Kingston Jr. Ice Wolves will be heading to national under-18 selection camps next week.
Ice Wolves third-year forward Tatum White of Kingston will attend Canada's National Women's U18 Team Selection Camp in Calgary, Aug. 3-11. White, who tied the club record for most goals in a single season with 19 in 2018-19, turns 17 in October.The second Ice Wolves forward to attend a national selection camp in August is Kiara Zanon, who has been invited to the 2019 USA Hockey Women's National Festival, Aug. 5-14, in Lake Placid, N.Y. The festival will culminate with the selection of a group that will represent the U.S. in a three-game series against Canada, Aug. 15-18, also in Lake Placid.Zanon, who turns 17 in August, was born in Rochester, N.Y., and has been a member of Selects Hockey Academy U16 and U19 teams the past three seasons. She was also a member of the U.S. team that lost 3-2 to Canada in the U18 world championship final in January.
