Weekend Recap
SPORTSGATE HOCKEY: NOVEMBER 18, 2018: The Kingston JR's, who one day earlier made some huge penalty kills late in their Provincial Women's Hockey League game to help preserve a tie, weren't quite as fortunate in the penalty-killing department on Sunday when they tried to hold a late lead.

Leading the home-ice Etobicoke Jr. Dolphins 1-0 after Scout Watkins-Southward's goal with just 2:16 remaining in the third period, the Ice Wolves allowed a power-play goal with 14 seconds left and the Etobicokegoaltender on the bench in favour of an extra attacker that knotted the score. The teams then played through a scoreless overtime period as the Ice Wolves left the Toronto area with a pair of weekend ties. They were involved in a rare double shutout on Saturday in a meeting with the Toronto Aeros. Kingston, with the score tied 0-0 on Saturday, played short-handed for all but 38 seconds of the final 2:35 of regulation time and then the first 1:56 of overtime. Ice Wolves goaltender Emma Gorski was superb in both games, stopping 30 shots on Sunday after making 30 saves on Saturday. She lowered her goals-against average to 1.66.
