Success at Stoney Creek
SEPT, 2016 :The Kingston Jr Ice Wolves have just returned home after a successful weekend at the Stoney Creek University Showcase Tournament. The team had an excellent start to the tournament on Friday morning with a 3-0 win over the Chicago Fury, followed later that day by a 1-0 win over Milwaukee to cap off an excellent first day of play.
On Saturday, the team experienced their first loss with a 0-3 game against St. Laurent. They rallied back for their 4th game of the weekend on Saturday night, winning 4-3 in overtime against Honeybaked. A fifth and final game was played on Sunday morning, against a strong NAHA team that prevailed 3-0. With over 64 teams playing, and over 165 games played, the Jr Ice Wolves represented Kingston extremely well. There were over 140 university coaches in attendance. Congratulations to the team for an outstanding showing.
